Our Teaching Approach
At Sunmeadow Home Learners, teaching is offered in a Waldorf-inspired, developmentally appropriate way, honouring the child’s age, readiness, and natural capacity for wonder and understanding.
Learning happens through Main Lesson blocks and ongoing subject tracks, combining clear conceptual work with observation, artistic activity, movement, and meaningful practice.
Schedules and groupings are formed based on enquiries, allowing the work to remain personal and responsive rather than fixed or mechanical.
Programmes We Offer

Main Lesson Blocks (Grades 4-9)
In Waldorf-inspired education, a Main Lesson is a focused period of learning in which one subject is explored deeply and meaningfully over several weeks.
A subject is first encountered through story, image, and lived experience. Through discussion, artistic work, and careful guidance, ideas gradually take form and clarity. Thinking is allowed to arise out of experience, rather than being imposed too early.
A Main Lesson moves in a gentle rhythm — from wonder and observation, through imagination and feeling, toward clear insight and understanding. This rhythm supports the child’s intellectual growth while also nurturing confidence, curiosity, and inner connection to the subject.
At Sunmeadow Home Learners, Main Lessons are offered in 4–5 week blocks, giving children the time and space to form meaningful relationships with what they are learning.

Mathematics Tracks (Grades 4–9)

Our Mathematics tracks are ongoing, small-group classes that meet weekly and follow a steady rhythm. Lessons are designed to build strong conceptual understanding, clarity of thinking, and confidence in problem-solving.
Teaching is grounded in a Waldorf-inspired approach, integrating explanation, practice, discussion, and age-appropriate challenge.
Structure:
• Live online classes, 3 sessions per week
• Small group learning
• Ongoing enrolment with a commitment for 3 months at a time.
Fees:
• USD 180 per month

Enrolment is confirmed upon payment. Families are requested to commit for a minimum of three months. Fees are non-refundable once a month has begun.
Limited seats per group to ensure depth, continuity, and individual attention.
Painting and Drawing Classes
(Grades 5–7)

These artistic classes offer children a calm, nourishing space to develop observation, care, and inner balance through drawing and painting.
Over time, children work with a range of artistic media, including wet-on-wet painting, veil painting, form drawing, and charcoal drawing. Each medium invites a different quality of attention — from flowing colour and mood to clear line, structure, and contrast.
Lessons are guided with care and rhythm, encouraging children to slow down, meet the work inwardly, and grow in confidence with both process and expression. Emphasis is placed on presence, movement, and careful seeing, rather than comparison or outcome.
Alongside artistic skill, these classes quietly strengthen concentration, spatial awareness, fine motor development, and emotional steadiness, supporting learning across all subjects.

• Live online class, once a week
